Where Does Your Turf Come From?

Our synthetic grass is proudly made in the United States. Southwest Greens is part of Shaw Industries (a Berkshire Hathaway company), and each turf strand is crafted in Shaw’s U.S. factories. Our modern production lines feature automation, Lean/Six Sigma oversight, and internal testing labs to hit industry-leading standards. When you schedule an artificial turf installation with Southwest Greens, you can rest assured that you’re installing high-quality, made-in-USA turf.

American Manufacturing: We manufacture through Shaw’s facilities, including our Dalton, GA plant. Thanks to Shaw’s innovations, our fibers stay consistent and durable.

Vertical Quality Control: As part of Shaw, we control each stage of turf creation. That lets us ensure consistent fiber quality and uniform color and pile height across batches, rapid support for warranty concerns, and clear manufacturing traceability to resolve problems quickly.

Rigorously Tested: Before any turf reaches you, it’s tested and validated through Shaw’s labs and outdoor fields. We use a 13,000 sq. ft. sports science lab and over 18,000 sq. ft. of outdoor test plots to mimic extended real-world conditions. Blades are tested for colorfastness, durability, and ball/athlete interactions, so your turf remains natural-looking and durable over time.

CUTTING-EDGE INNOVATION

We keep evolving our turf to be better-performing and long-lasting. Some of our latest innovations include:

Bolt™ Fiber (High-Performance: The patented Bolt cross-section gives our turf its edge. It resists flattening and recovers quickly, lasting more than twice as long. Its unique shape and curved angles reduce shininess, giving the yard a true-grass sheen.

HydroChill® Cooling: We offer HydroChill® infill beads that can cool your turf by 30–50°F. This simple water-activated technology is perfect for warm-weather lawns and putting greens, keeping the surface cool for people and pets alike.

Pet-Friendly Drainage: Our pet turf products are crafted for quick drainage and easy cleanup. Your dog won’t dig up holes or drag mud into the house anymore. And the way our artificial grass naturally sheds pet waste keeps the lawn fresh and stain-free.

Creaturf™ Personalization: Want your turf to show off your identity? Our Creaturf™ program lets you add graphics, emblems, or colored elements. From branded backyard putting greens to decorative pet turf, this feature offers unlimited creative control.

PERSONALIZED TO YOU

We collaborate with clients, golf pros, and experts to ensure our artificial turf meets real needs. Feedback from golfers prompted a new “spring green” color option for tee turf that integrates naturally with fairways. Little details like this help our turf lead in Los Angeles and Southern California residential and commercial spaces.

We also create specialized systems tailored to any environment — backyard putting greens, golf courses, pet areas, playgrounds, commercial lawns, game courts.

We take fake grass installation seriously. Proper installation is an art. Our synthetic turf is built to mimic PGA-standard roll and bounce. That’s why legendary golfers like Jack Nicklaus and Annika Sörenstam trust Southwest Greens. And because we’re supported by Shaw’s industry-leading portfolio, we can adjust fibers, infill, or pile height to your specs.

LOOKING AHEAD: 2026 AND BEYOND

At Southwest Greens, we never stop innovating. Watch for major turf releases in 2026! Shaw Sports Turf has already announced that customers will help pick upcoming field designs and that a new “Game ON” turf model (made in Calhoun, GA) will launch in 2026.

This playful spirit and technology will be available in landscaping products soon. We can’t give away every secret, but know for certain, our R&D team is working hard on the next generation of artificial grass.

Upcoming releases will blend innovation and customer insight, so your next Southwest Greens lawn or putting green will be better than ever.
